Enza Zaden is expanding rapidly in China. In March 2006 a large R&D station was established in the suburban area of Beijing, with focus on breeding and development of local vegetable varieties (such as pink beef tomato) for the traditional Chinese greenhouse market in North China.

In June 2009, a new R&D station has been set up in Guangdong province, with emphasis on the open field vegetable markets in south area of China. Enza Zaden also has open a new commercial subsidiary in Bejing in 2009 - Enza Zaden Beijing Seed Co., for the purpose of promotion and marketing for all Enza varieties in China market.
