Seed Production Manager

We are looking for a results-oriented Seed Production Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate is an experienced seed production professional with a global mindset, a collaborative personality and the ability to lead (international) teams in an inspiring way. 

What are you going to do as a Seed Production Manager?

As a Seed Production Manager, you will be responsible for worldwide vegetable seed productions. This includes the organisation, support, control and development of production locations. You will lead an international team and you will guide your team to optimise the worldwide seed production. You build new relations and strengthen the cooperation with our producers.

As a member of the Production Management Team, you will represent your open field production teams and support with the further development of the Seed Production department. You will work together in international and cross-functional teams where you will develop the production planning and determine where and how the seeds are grown. 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and monitoring the budget for the production teams;
  • Develop, analyze and manage existing and new processes;
  • Project management;
  • Contract management and settlements with the producers.

You are a hands-on, solution-oriented team player with a positive attitude and global mindset. You have broad experience in leading teams. You stay on top of the latest seed industry developments and are able to transfer this knowledge to your team. You look for the best possible way to achieve goals and improve processes. This requires a good balance of independence and teamwork. In this process, you are able to connect and collaborate effectively with both internal and external parties. The international contact with producers and international colleagues requires flexibility. You can adapt your approach based on the culture and the local conditions. 

In short, you:

  • Have a master's degree, preferably in Plant Sciences;
  • Have at least 8 years' work experience in the agribusiness;
  • Have excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Are experienced in leading a multi-cultural team;
  • Can motivate and inspire your employees;
  • Develop targets and help your employees to achieve them;
  • Deliver a valuable contribution to the development of the Open Field production team;
  • Are willing to travel internationally.
